Number 500!

On January 5, 2005, I wrote the first post for WORDS ON THE LINE. Now, 2,958 days later, here comes my 500th post. 

I'm not patting myself on the back for persistence—persistent though I am. Rather, as I reflect on these past eight years of blogging, I realize that many questions asked about writing or requests made for resources in my graduate-level courses, seminars, webinars, and coaching sessions have their responses right here. In fact, so much is here that I've "rediscovered" some of it for this post.

• If writing style is your thing, then browse through the 49 posts on topics such as an 11-part series on voice, a five-part series on the benefits of reading aloud when editing, and a six-part series on giving constructive writing criticism.
• Bibliophiles will find helpful my 61 reviews of books about writing, management, and thinking. Many more are to come.
• The 74 posts in the reference section cover useful articles, reports, and websites on communication. This too is an ever-growing section.
• Most of the 40 posts on grammar are my answers to questions from clients. Yes, I do respond to all relevant inquiries.
• The remaining 226 posts cover numerous topics, including creativity and theory.
